As regulations evolve, organizations are integrating Quality, Safety, and Compliance to reduce risk. This session explains OIG 2023 guidance, highlights key intersections, and offers practical collaboration strategies to strengthen oversight and deliver safer, more reliable care.

1. Review the HHS OIG’s 2023 General Compliance Program Guidance and its expectations for integrating quality and patient safety oversight into compliance programs.

2. Identify where compliance and quality intersect to improve outcomes, reduce risk, and strengthen reliability.

3. Apply collaboration strategies between Compliance, Quality, and Safety to detect issues early, mitigate risk, and improve performance.

Alli Sajdak Hetzel

Alli is Vice President of Compliance Operations at Advocate Health, leading enterprise compliance operations, investigations, and program execution across a complex multi-state system. A Nurse Practitioner, she brings a patient-centered, data-informed approach that bridges regulatory expectations with operational realities and strengthens governance and performance.
