Join Kimberly Polk and Kimberley Morgan from Point 32 Health as they share their experience with Health Equity Accreditation. 

Learning Objectives

  1. Participants will be able to describe the NCQA Health Equity framework.
  2. Participants will be able to articulate why the NCQA Health Equity framework is important for health plans.
  3. Participants will be able to define the data requirements for NCQA Health Equity accreditation.
  4. Participants will understand the challenges and barriers to NCQA Health Equity accreditation.
  5. Participants will be able to describe the continuation of the accreditation and ongoing sustainability efforts.

 About the Speakers

Kimberly Polk, RN, MPH, CPHQ has held multiple, progressive roles in healthcare quality improvement including Director of Quality Improvement and VP of Quality and Clinical Program Oversight at Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan. Currently serves as Director, Quality Improvement & Accreditation at Point32Health. Experience leading strategic, budgetary, and operational activities across quality improvement, NCQA Accreditation, HEDIS, clinical vendor management, medical policy, member appeals and grievances, utilization management program oversight, Office of Clinical Affairs (OCA) project management, and the facilitation of clinical training. Now directs the execution of Point32Health's Quality Improvement Program and NCQA Accreditation.  

Kimberley Morgan, PhysD, MA, provided social worker supports and services to I/DD individuals with a specialization in forensic social work. Provided direct support to individuals and families with an eventual move to system support demonstrated by oversight of quality assurance, resource development, diversity, Home and Community Based Services, and self-directed/supported living services. Joined Point32Health three years ago starting in the Appeals and Grievances Department moving to the Quality Department in June 2021. In the Quality Department, responsibilities consist of oversight of quality improvement projects, accreditation, and led the NCQA Health Equity Accreditation.
