Digital Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) Interoperability Strategy: Readiness, Risks, and Opportunities

05 Nov 2026
12:00pm - 1:00pm EST

Digital HEDIS® is transforming quality measurement by replacing traditional administrative and chart-based data collection with interoperable, standardized clinical data from electronic health records and other digital sources. As the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) advances digital quality reporting, health plans and providers must prepare by evaluating data readiness, strengthening interoperability, and developing implementation strategies. This session examines key considerations — technology infrastructure, governance, operational readiness, vendor partnerships, regulatory requirements, and leadership sponsorship — so participants leave with a practical framework for assessing readiness and planning implementation.

Objectives:

  1.  Understand the Digital HEDIS® landscape and its implications for health plans.
  2. Evaluate organizational readiness and key success factors for implementation.
  3. Apply a practical framework to build a Digital HEDIS® strategy and roadmap that advances quality performance.
