Join us for an inside look at how Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island is advancing health equity through a data-driven, action-oriented approach. This session will highlight how equity is embedded into organizational strategy, beginning with the collection of self-reported Race, Ethnicity, Language, Disability (RELD), and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) data.
Attendees will learn how these data inform our Healthcare Quality and Access efforts and drive initiatives aimed at reducing disparities in care. The session will feature a focused case study on colorectal cancer (CRC) screenings, showcasing how disparities were identified, strategies were implemented, and measurable progress was achieved. We will also discuss lessons learned and future opportunities to continue closing gaps in care.
This program is ideal for professionals interested in practical, scalable approaches to advancing health equity within healthcare systems.
