Training the Quality Workforce at Johns Hopkins

NEAHQ Members: Click "Education", then click on link under "Upcoming Events.  Click on "Register Now" under Non-Member section, then under New Membership Selection select "No" for  membership, and then select "Registration - NEAHQ" under Select Registration Options heading.

 

OBJECTIVES: 

  1. Understand the importance of building capability and capacity for microsystem quality improvement through education of both clinical and non-clinical staff
  2. Distinguish the learning needs and level of competency needed by staff role, type and scope
  3. Align quality improvement education with organizational goals and priorities
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal organizational quality improvement education & training to extend the dedicated quality workforce and "build the bench"

 

 April Taylor (MS, MHA, FACHE, CMQ/OE, CLSSBB, CPHQ, CPPS) will share information about micro, meso and macrosystem improvement, outline how quality improvement education is a strategic business priority that supports clinical quality improvement and business process improvement; and describe how to build QI capability and capacity as a key components of structure in the Donabedian Framework.
